Shocker… Yeh… safi was never gonna win this matchup, and the fight would have ended halfway if safi wasn't programmed to survive on 1 hp in order to go to the next phase. And in all honesty, this makes a lot of sense. Safi’s main strength is its healing, in an actual fight, if fatalis uses a strong enough move, safi just wouldn’t be able to heal quick enough. A great effort from the sapphire star non the less

Velkhana and Teostra are perfect opposites and are both strong elder dragons not as strong as say Fatalis or Safi’Jiva but not as weak as Kieran and I even think Teostra is the strongest out of the three elder dragons that you hunt after nergigante

What exactly do I mean? Well... Safi may have been modeled after the "Dragon" design archetype, but it's clear that Alatreon is its rival. Both species have been in a planet-scale turf war for eons. In fact, the reason the Jiivas are so well-hidden is to prevent both them and their nests from being completely slaughtered by Alatreon. The crazy part is that Alatreon isn't doing it for the usual reasons. It doesn't eat the Jiivas and they don't share the same territory. Alatreon is just Safi's biggest hater and wants to spin the block on any Jiivas on his hood. Meanwhile, Fatalis is treated _much_ differently than everything else in the ecosystem. Despite Xeno'jiiva looking like one, it's _Fatalis_ who's the alien with one scientist theorizing that it's not from this world. It's got the toes of a Wyverian, an intelligence surpassing humanity, eyes made of actual rocks, no blood in its system, never runs out of fire and only gets stronger the more it's injured. This is the _only_ creature that the Guild considers as the greatest threat on the planet, capable of erasing an entire country by itself if left on its own. And apparently everything, including Elder Dragons, would rather flee the continent than be in the same zip code as something that can easily slaughter them without effort. The country destruction is also nuts when you realize that no other monster has come close to the same feat. Dalamadur is still carving out Heaven's Mount to this day, Shara had to use the Everstream's spiral path for maximum efficiency, Alatreon took time to turn the Sacred Land into a wasteland and Safi needed lots of molting and growing to terraform a section of the Guiding Lands. The worst part is something the Handler points out: Why does it need that much power?
